Orlando Science Center
Help us and have fun at the
Orlando Science Center!
We need volunteers to facilitate experiments in Dr. Dare’s Lab at the Orlando Science Center. The operating hours are from 2:00 to 6:00 PM, Monday – Friday.
Facilitators are needed to help guests perform the experiments. Training is available to make you comfortable with both the procedures and the science in these experiments. Since this is a working lab a safety orientation is mandatory. We expect volunteers to work in pairs. A four-hour commitment at least two weeks a month is required – four hours a week is desired. A science background is not required. A volunteer benefit package is available and it is a good social experience.
Dr. Dare’s Lab can be set up for different physical or biological science experiments. All the experiments have been done many times and the procedures are well established and documented. The experiments range from elementary to high school level. Everyone who has gone through the training so far has also had fun!
